When you hear the name David Beckham you always know that there is going to be some interesting news behind the story. Beckham who was born in Leytonstone, London, his career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United; he first hit our screens with his debut at the age of 17 in 1992 and since then has gone on to become a worldwide football icon winning various trophies such as the Premier League, Champions League and Spanish Titles.
Beckham who left Manchester United and signed for Real Madrid in 2003 then stayed with them for four seasons before signing a huge contract with Los Angeles Galaxy. After the end of season in America, Beckham decided to join AC Milan on a short loan so that he gains higher chances of being called to the national team.
Beckham's loan contract which ends in March, is one that is playing on his mind, as it has been reported that he is torn with whether to stay at AC Milan or return back to the LA Galaxy. As he tells Sky Sports,
"To play here is the dream of any player," said Beckham in an interview with Corriere della Sera. "But deciding is not easy, it's a situation that requires time. "I am under contract and I have a lot of respect for Galaxy. But the possibility to play at Milan proves the level and reputation of their football. The league in the USA is young. I think 10 years have to go by to achieve results."
"I feel Milan is very similar to Manchester United," he said. "It has that kind of tradition that only great clubs have. Milan, just like at United, you breathe a particular atmosphere, whether it's in the training ground or the stadium. And then Milan has that trophy room - this makes you feel special."
So will Beckham stay or will he go, it was always reported that Beckham chose to move to America to support his wife Victoria Beckham and her career. But in my opinion if Beckham wants to make the most of the rest of his career then he should stay in AC Milan. We all know that Europe is a lot more developed in the form of football then America. Just look at the likes of Ronaldo and all the other Brazilian players that join European teams.
If Beckham wants to have a permanent role in the International team and play Champions League games then he should think very hard about staying in AC Milan.
